Of Course Jon Has Something to Say – First NFL Sunday

If you know me you know I am a Ravens Fan. This first NFL Sunday is a little anti-climatic because the Ravens have the first Monday Night game against the Jets. I will be ready all day long to see a good game so I hope that’s what we get!

Good, Bad, and Opportunity

Hopefully the Ravens have a good showing, and when I say good I mean win, against the Jets. They know each other well since Rex Ryan is the big man for the Jets and did wonders for the Baltimore defense.

Good:

The Team looks good and the offense is solid even though there are some players like Donte’ Stallworth out for the first week. I could not stand T.J. Houshmandzadeh for years but now it is all different. I can see a good passing season between Flacco and T.J. so of course I am now a big fan. He has always been pretty good and I expect a break out season.

The Bad:

The biggest problem I see is the loss of Ed Reed for the first six games of the season. That is definitely BAD and there are some other problems listed below.

Opportunity:

Put me in coach… Tom Zbikowski replaced the injured Ed Reed and he did a good job last year so it is an opportunity. With injury comes opportunity and we will see if the Ravens do what they usually do, fill in the blanks with people you never thought can play so well. They call that stepping up and Ray Ray expects it!

Either way it is NFL time and I am Excited!
